ODCGIS are delighted to welcome Ian Usher to our Sales Team who joins us after 10 years as Business Development Manager at Cadcorp. Ian has 20 years’ worth of experience in GIS, having started in the public sector with Bolsover Council as GIS Officer. He then joined West Yorkshire Police as GIS Manager and was responsible for implementing GIS across the police force, which included desktop GIS for analyst across the 8 divisions and a web-based GIS where results and data analysis could be shared.
He then joined Medway Council as GIS Coordinator, managing the corporate GIS system and advising on best practice for GIS within all departments across the local authority, before joining Cadcorp where he was working primarily with Housing Associations and Local Authorities.
Ian said “I am very passionate about how GIS can be used across housing associations and am excited to be joining ODCGIS who are at the forefront of offering GIS Services to the social housing sector. This is a great opportunity to help them develop still further and I look forward to working with Rick, Craig and the team who have made me feel very welcome.”
